My research examines the environmental conditions that alter how animals allocate resources during life history stages and the timing of transitions between stages. I've worked with systems as diverse as freshwater fish and migratory birds to examine particular questions. My research has a strong field component to understand how dynamics work in wild populations but also incorporates laboratory experiments to manipulate the environmental factor of interest.
